“No other foundation can anyone lay than that whichis laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1Corinthians 3:11)
Everything begins and ends with Jesus Christ.
He is the “author and finisher” of our faith, the “Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End,” the “Lamb slain from the foundation of the world,” the “way, the truth and the life.” (Hebrews 12:2, Revelation 1:8, Revelation 13:8, John 14:6)
Jesus is the “Word” (John 1:1) and we must always go to the Word first and foremost before all things.
Therefore, we begin this compilation of teachings about “Scriptural Healing” with Scriptures that are organized by type of healing (e.g. physical, emotional, mental, etc.).
These Scriptures clearly show that healing is real, is for today, and is only possible by the “blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 12:11)
Next, we have a compilation of Scriptures that tell of the many wonderful promises of God that “in Him are yes and in Him amen.” (2Corinthians 1:20)
These promises are for today and provide the hope that is the “anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast” (Hebrews 6:19)
The third section shows how all malfunctions of the body and soul, “corruption of the flesh,” (Galatians 6:8) is a result of sin – ours or someone else’s.
If the sin, andthe resulting corruption, is not healed, it acts as a “cancer” that spreads its negative effects within our body and soul (mind, emotion and will).
As the Scriptures so accurately describe, “a little leaven leavens the whole lump” (Galatians 5:9).
The Spirit of a born-again Christian cannot be “possessed” or destroyed, but it can be “wounded” and even “broken” (Proverbs 18:14), but only if sin gives “place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:26-27).
The link between sin and disease was clearly shown by Jesus when he said, “which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins” (Matthew 9:5-6).
